Question Is a MY 1995 SL600 OBD-I or OBD-II ?

Hi folks, I'm considering purchasing a 1994 or 1995 SL600 soon (I have ruled out a 1993 simply as it's the first model year here, and, was called a 600SL IIRC - let me know if that's a mistake I guess?).

I very much want one that is OBD-I as I plan to modify it (the exhaust specifically) and here NYS, OBD-I vehicles basically get a free pass as far as check engine lights and emissions testing, etc. 1995 was a weird year for most cars - some are OBD-I, others are OBD-II, and so on.

So, is the 1995 SL600 OBD-I? Thanks in advance!

LOL! That's hilarious. I suppose it's a good thing I do electronics repair work on the side and am fully stocked to tackle any wiring issue. That and I don't plan on letting it see winter.

I'd love to pick up a newer one, I hear the later ones have a better transmission? But then I'd have a much harder time doing the exhaust work I want to it. I plan to have equal length headers fabricated for it and a stainless exhaust with cut outs for that beautiful F1 / Pagani sound. Really it's the whole reason I want this m120 engine - I just happen to also love the styling of the R129 chassis.
