Does the sl55 have rear fog lights on both sides or only one side!?
I was sure it's on both sides, my dealer says it's only on one side.

Anybody here who could jump in his SL and turn on the rear fog light and look if it's 2 or 1?

 

While I don't own an SL any MB with rear foglights only has one that lights up. Other cars that have rear foglights also only have one (Audi comes to mind). If you had two rear fogs, people behind you would think you were driving with your brakes on.

A great time to use this feature is in fog, heavy rain or snow storm. As we know from experience, when following a vehicle under these conditions they are hard to see day or night when comming up from behind. This feature replaces the idea of using four way flashers under these conditions. Works very well. A common feature in European cars.
