I just purchased a '95 SL500 that has three lights on the instrument panel that are NOT in the owner's manual. There are red lights on either side of the speedometer, near the top, and a single, somewhat larger yellow one to the far right. Does anyone have any idea of what these are and what they indicate?

 

Mystery solved! Turns out that one of the former owners paid a bundle to have a radar detector installed - that's what the lights are for - one to show the mode and two flashers to show you're being painted by a beam. I found the receiver hidden behind the grill and darn near invisible.
