Default Ignition tumber replacement

I had to order a new ignition switch tumbler for my 1982 380SL. Can anyone recommend a site that gives a description of the procedure to remove and replace this?

Thanks in advance.

Yours should be same as my old 1980 W126 280SE euro.
It takes about a minute as long as you're still able to turn the key in your original lock tumbler.
1. Turn the key to position 1
2. Press release wire about 1.25mm thick (I use thin allen wrench or thick paper clip) into small hole of the lock cylinder to stop untill retaining catch of the cover nut is released.
3. Unscrew the cover nut surounding the lock cylinder (is it is hard with your fingers you could use tube or pipe that would be tight fit around the cover nut.
You could pull on the key a little ones every few turns of the nut to make the turning easier. If you need complete instructions, let me know by PM your e-mail and I will send you instructions with pictures and oem tool pictures. Some locks were equiped with two holes for U shapped release wire.
