Help 98 sl300
Need some excell direction with situation with sl300, had car checked, problem when outside temp is 60 or below. When car starts and reaches 80 it stalls. won't start for 15 to 30 min. and then will drive like a dream car...??????????? HAD TEMP REGULATOR REPLACED... NO LUCK.Also just changed oil and the service wrench will not reset on the ml320.. Can I get some help here? Thanks.

I believe your problem is CPS (crankshaft position sensor) on the SL300, it should be around $50 for oem Bosch. Search google for Mercedes CPS problems and see, if your case is similar then others.
For the oil reset, folow the instructions in your owner's manual or also check benzworld forum threads (lot more info and quick respond there).
I do my oil reset like this:
Turn key to pos.2 and within 5 sec. press odometer reset twice. Turn key to pos.1 then press and hold reset button while turning key back to pos.2 with your other hand.
Continue to hold button untill buzzer sounds or new 10,000 mile interval is displayed on your odometer.
For your ML gas/mileage, check your tire pressure but my ML320 average is also only 17mpg in daily suburban driving and 20-21mpg on highway.
Biggest improvements to engine running and economy would be replacing front o2 sensors, but I can't say because I don't know how many miles you have on them or if they were every changed on your vehicle.

Bernard, Senior Member..... Thank you for advice. Purchased the Sensor wire unit, NOW>> got to figure out how to get to the unit to replace..???????? Any Suggestions on the position of the sensor? It was were nice to get a "expert" to make some sense of the car starting and then shut down when it reached 80 degrees, Thank care...
