Default Hardtop and softtop question

The button for the hard and soft tops continuously flashes. Would like to know how to retrieve the code in order to fix this problem. Thank you.

what year? does it flash without pushing or pulling. If not, I just had the same issue. Luckily I had an extra controller. for me that was the issue. there is a way of checking all the switches from the long wire connector on the controller but I think it's the controller, might check the bottom fuse in trunk.

Thank you, it's a 1990 and yes the switch flashes without touching it. Where is the controler?

the controller is in the compartment behind the passenger seat. might unplug and reconnect connectors attached to controller to see if there is a bad connection. the end connectors have slide plastic locks. the flash code can brought up through the block at the back of engine engine compartment by shorting 10 and ground for a few seconds. normally the codes would flash through the top button, counting the flashes would indicate the code but with the with button already flashing that would be a problem.
