fuel treatment

After reading a number of nightmare stories regarding hard to start, sputtering etc, and one recommended cure was injector cleaner for older and infrequently driven cars... mine is a 2003 sl500, i drive only around 2000 miles per year and only about 50 miles every 2 weeks in winter it has 37000 actual miles.. so is it a good practice to use a fuel treatment for keeping injectors cleaned for owner/drivers such as me..
if so is there a recommended product you have had experience with that is safe..

thanks

Hi Glen - I think that as long as the car gets started every few days and let it run for a few moments, a treatment isn't necessary. If you're storing the car for quite some time, you may want to use an additive to make sure the gas doesn't 'gunk' up, but otherwise it isn't necessary. Just my 2 cents, other members should chime in with their opinions. Hope this helps a bit!
