Default Coolant Light Remains On

1997 SL320 (probably same on SL500) The coolant light remains on even though the coolant tank is full. The engine is not running hot. The dealership claims they cannot find what is wrong. Seems odd? Is there one or two sensors? Anything else to check? Thanks

But mhabie has it wrong. His response here http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129-sl-class/1362930-coolant-light-remains-all-time.html#post2758527would be correct if the OP's car were a '96 or older but the car in questionis a '97.
