Many thanks. The dealer charged me $95.00 to put the car on the ultra machine to check the code number plus $65.00 for reset. This happened on two different occasions, almost 2 1/2 months apart.
It came on about a month ago for three days and went off by itself.

Again, thanks while you save me some bucks.

Whenever my CEL lights up, I disconnect the battery and reset it. That usually takes care of it, but it doesn't tell why it came on.

If the CEL comes back on, then I take it somewhere to find out why it's coming on. Unfortunately, that may be a dealer who overcharges.

Is the CEL on your car still coming on? Mine came back on about 4 days ago and went off by itself less than 48 hours later.
Is this normal or should I be worried?

Sleepwalker
I need to reset my engine check light.I replaced the accessory drive belt because the aircon pulley ceased .Everything else seems alright save for the this light.I tried removing battery terminal overnight but thelight is still on and does not blink at all.please advise
