I found 1985 500SL Euro roadster in Florida and was told that it was originally owned by John Gotti's attorney. Because it was a grey market vehicle the Vin # is not correct in USA. Is there a way to verify the information?

 

Thanks for the info. I will stop trying to research former owner. I was traded this vehicle for my services to a client who was short of cash so I am not a knowledgeable MB owner. How do I determine the value? Is it better to sell "as is" or restored? Any info appreciated.
