230 Repair Manual
Does anyone have a repair manual for an SLK 230? My dad just bought a 2001 and he is a mechanic, and would like to have a repair/shop manual of some kind. (But he isn't a computer savy kinda guy so I am helping him out with the internet legwork.) Do they even make one for it? Is there anything digital like a CD or something online? What do the mechanics at the MB dealership use?
Thanks,
Jared

RE: 230 Repair Manual
I bought the repair manual DVD off of EBAY and had no luck at getting it loaded onto my computer. I actually tried 3 computers and couldn't get it to load on any of them. I wouldn't buy these.
I did receive a phone number to call for manuals from someone on this forum. Try calling 800 367-6372 and see if they have a manual. Please share what you find out.

RE: 230 Repair Manual
I ordered the new maintenance CD directly from Mercedes Benz for my SKL-230. It costs me $120.00 and came in about 5 days.
It will only run from the original disk so copies don't work. I had wanted to make a backup copy and put the original disk away for safe keeping, but the program checks for the original disk before it will start. I had no trouble at all getting it to run on Windows XP. Set-up was easy. The information seems to be very complete and well organized. There are detailed exploded parts diagrams, troubleshooting tips and detailed repair procedures. For the do-it-yourself person it will be well worth the money.
