1999 SL500 Heater Problems

1999 SL500 Heater Problems
Any time I start the car after its been off for 1 or more hours the heater/ac fan works great. Within 10 minutes the fan shuts down and no heat/ac. Is anyone aware of a relay, etc that could be causing this issue?

You can run diagnostics on the climate controller by simply pressing a sequence of buttons on the unit. That procedure has been written-up here at least once (fall of '06): http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129-sl-class/andcan be found using the "search".
