Ok, what sounds good at a reasonable price on a 96 sl500, looking for a performance sound but not too loud. I have seen the expensive foreign systems for about 1800.00 but that is too much for exhaust. Has anybody had any luck with magnaflow or flowmaster, etc. Thanks Kevin

 

I have used both the Magnaflow and the Flowmaster on other cars. The Flowmaster is louder but is not stainless and will rust. It has a short life. The Magnaflow is just a little deeper than original, made of a high quality polished stainlees steel and is more expensive. I currently am using it on a vette but like my SL to be quiet.
