Hi,

When I push or pull the top switch, it keeps flashing and nothing happens.

I can raise/lower the roll bar with it's switch.

any help is much appreciated.

do a forum search, there is a lot of info here. "bob terry" has the best posts. I bought an extra controller to eliminate that problem first. after that it's fairly easy to diagnosis most problems. these modules have diagnostics built-in. if you go to the diagnostic port behind the passender side strut mount and short 1 & 10 for three or four seconds with ignition on but not running, wait and count the flashes coming from the top switch. those are the codes. no codes, would probably mean your controller is bad. yes, your seats can work with a bad controller.

 

You may already know all this; but, it doesn't hurt to add. To get the soft top down, pull back and hold the button until the top is fully down. The windows go down first as the boot opens and the top folds in. In other words, hold the button. The reverse (push the button and hold forward) to raise the top.

 

The codes are as follows. 3 flashes right lock limit switch for the top compartment, 4 the left compartment closed switch, 5 the right compartment closed switch, 6 the left front latch switch, 10 the left rear latch switch, 11 the right front latch switch, 16 the roll bar switch, 17 the left window failed to lower limit switch, 18 the right limit switch, 20 hard top installed no faults, 23 roll bar control unit not functioning, 25 contradicting inputs, 27 not enough voltage, 28 speed signal is missing, 29 wheel speed from the ABS control module is missing, 30 top operation disabled from 29

 

I will add that these codes are for the earlier model 129 and apply to the 129 820 00 97 controller which is located in the passenger side storage compartment behind the seat
