I need a good service cd of dvd for my 91 500sl. Paid $80 for a cd set that must be a factory copy. Didn't load and didn't have any information on my car. Took a computer geek a day to get it to load. Performance products has a dvd at a very high price that requires internet access. Does this require a fee every time you access the dvd? Any suggestions?

Online site, www.alldatadiy.com is a subscription service that provides repair procedures, photos and line drawingsthat are model specific. Cost $24.95 per year. Free Access to AllData may beavailable through your local public library- check in your area.

Finally, you can order the MBUSA Star Service Manual Library DVD for the 129, p/n, P-2700-129-07 that contains Repair, Maintenance, and Diagnostic Information with component disassembly and assembly; Function Description that provides details of system functionality; Parts Information including catalog that helps to identify frequently used maintenance parts; ETM with STAR Finder contains wiring diagrams in a web based format with links to component location; Service Bulletins and DTS; and Owners and Introductions Manual. Available from www.mbusa.com at around $80 shipped. The DVD runs on Win 2000, XP, and Vista.

There are also WIS disks floating around ebay that are also good, but a bear to get installed properly as you found out.
