1980 450SL - Won’t Start. Help!!
Greetings group this is my first post! I recently bought a non-running 1980 450SL. Owner said it had been parked 12 years, and had no issues at that time. Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, spark plugs, and ignition coil. It cranks but still won’t start. I verified it had spark although I haven’t checked the ohm reading. The odd thing is when I spray starter fluid in the intake- it doesn’t start even for a second! Does anybody have any advice what the problem could be?? Ready to give up on this thing!

using starting fluid I would think that if you had spark you would get at least a pop when turning it over. might check distributor cap and rotor. look for vacuum leaks. might do a compression test.
