Default 15" wheel offset for 380 SL

I have a 380 SL and wish to put 560 SL wheels on it.I have found several sets, but they have different offsets. Does anyone know the correct offset for my 1985 380 SL w/560 SL wheels?

I've been researching wheels, it looks like the 560 sl had a 7x15 and 6.5x15, but I am not sure of the offset. I have found several set used, and some on ebay, all with different offsets. I very curioius if any of you 560 SL owners now the offset of your wheels. I just want to make sure I'am buying wheels that won't rub or cause tire wear problems. I know these style of wheels came onseveral different models.
Thanks
Craig

If you have an Owners Manual the offsets are usually shown in the wheels & tyres chapter for your model together with option wheel fitments . If you check your spare wheel the offset is stamped on the rim.

use this calculator to figure it out.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I took the original Bundt wheels (14" diameter, 6.5" wide, 30mm offset) off of my 380sl, and replaced them with the 15" European version (7" wide, 23 mm offset). This combination gave me a little more clearance on the inside, and moved the tires out toward the fender by about 1/2 inch, which is really where they should be on this car for asthetic purposes.

If I remember correctly, the proper 560sl wheel should also be 15"x7"x23mm, or thereabouts.

Here's how to figure out the proper tire size: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Hope this helps.
