Default window and rearview mirrors

Yesterday I left my windows down and it rained. 221 S430 was exposed to maybe 2 or so minutes of haevy rain. I closed the windows fine then opened them when got home to clean and airate. This morning My Front Passenger window and rear view mirror WON'T work! Also, normally the door would self-shut after lightly closing but the same door is not doing that after yesterday. Any Ideas and if so, how expensive is the remedy?

My son left the roof open on my wife's coupe overnight and of course it rained. Even after mopping up the water and using a shopvac to suction as much water as possible, I let the car dry out thoroughly before I touched anything electronic, with the exception of closing the roof. I didn't even start the car. I left it in strong sunlight for over a week. The end result was no damage at all. If something electronic is turned on when its wet it usually shorts out permanently whereas water that dries out might leave a haze or slight residue but no shorts. I used dryness 'under' the carpeting as an indicator of whether everything was dry.

Thnx Guys. I sincerely hope thats all it is. I however have started the car multiple times since and tried the windows multiple times too. I hope I have not made the situation worse. How many days do you suggest I wait before trying again. My under-carpet is dry already.

In the event of a short, what exactly does that mean and how do I fix it?
