Hi again. Well it seems that a family member has been robbed of the vacuum pump on her 03 s430. This comes at a bad time for her, just having lost her job.

This happened in North West San Antonio. Tx. If any such items being offered under suspicious circumstances, would you please advise on this forum or indeed the police. If the radio kit has gone as well, it will really will be a serious theft.

I think the part number is mbz083793 but I'm not sure. Until I can get sight of the car, I'll not know the full details. What is for sure is that the black plastic box has gone from the trunk. Wires are left dangling.

What is worse (perhaps) is that the radio also doesn't work, and although I've tried to talk her through eyeballing the location, she's not able to say if the radio kit is there or not. MB tell me it's about 18" from the vacuum pump. I'm betting that's been stolen as well.

Can anyone point me to an OEM or used part for the pump? That would be a start.

Because I'm trying to orchestrate this remedy from hundreds of miles away, I'm still not sure if the radio has been stolen. I've just found the new price of $1,840 for that black box, (and 640, for the pump.)
