Default Test the central vacuum pump

Is there any way to test the central vacuum pump in a 1994 S-420? None of the functions are working and I can't hear it running. Thanks for any help

Default Answer

Check all fuses first.
Verify power at the vacuum pump.

Odds are 99.999% the vacuum pump has failed.

This vacuum pump has been superseded eight times due to failure issues.
The current valid part number is
MB# 1408003248
Dealer list price: $1410.00

This unit MUST be coded into the security system after it is installed, using a current subscription SDS (Star Diagnostic Scanner), failure to do this engages the security Disabler system = the car is dead..

Note: The tool is roughly $28,000.00 per year = generally only Mercedes dealers have them.
