does anyone know how to do a stereo uninstall/install on a w126 that was originally equipped with a becker grand prix? it has an aftermarket radio in it now, and i want to get it out so i can change it for a different unit. i thought this would be easy, but it turns out not to be as straight forward as my old e-class was.

if nobody knows how to actually do it, does anyone at least know a good place to get instructions?

 

and what's the radio now?

 

right now it has some kind of pioneer head unit. i didnt put it in, the previous owner had it installed at best buy. im trying to put in a new alpine cda 3853 and run leads to an amp in the trunk for my subs, also not hooked up right now.

the aftermarket head units are about the same size as the becker grand prix, i think even close enough that i could get by without an adaptor, but i already have one, so i might as well use it.
