Shock Absorbers for W140
Hello Benz Fans:
I am considering switching my Shock Absorbers. Can anyone explain the difference between the Bilstein Shock and the Monroe Sensatrac Shock?
I am wanting a much smoother less bumpier ride now a days. With the Bilstein, even though I've just replaced them, I get almost a dead hit when I connect with an imperfection in the roadway or shallow pot-hole. I am wanting something that is going to absorb that so as not feel like I'm riding on stone tires.
Thanks for your opinions and suggestions in advance.

My stock Bilsteins on my 300E lasted 155K and it rode great. My dad put the Monroe on his Town Car and liked the smooth ride. You might consider the Goodyear ComforTread when you need new tires, they really helped the bumpy ride on my 300C.
