Default s430 Repairs/Maintenance -- $11000!

Hello all,

I don't know much about cars but I have an s430 that I heard the infamous noise on while driving. After some research online I realized it was the catalytic converter and since my car is an '03 it is out of warranty. I took it to RBM in Atlanta and besides that they have "recommended" other repairs and I would like some feedback on whether they are necessary and if the price quoted is reasonable. I don't think spending 11000 on a 10 year old car makes sense -- even if the mileage is 85000K.

Any feedback/help is greatly appreciated. The recommended repairs and cost:

$1,106.20 - REPLACE RIGHT SIDE CAT THEN RE-EVALUATE ANY FURTHER ISSUES (RIGHT SIDE CATALYIST HAS COME APART INTERNALLY)

$281.00 - Perform brake system fluid flush (Found brake fluid service due by time or mileage)

$1,071.00 - Replace both front lower ball joints (Found ball joint(s) loose/worn)

$1,360.00 - Replace crankcase rear main seal (Oil leak at rear of engine(re-check next service))

$455.20 - RE-SEAL VALVE COVER AT NEXT VISIT (LEFT VALVE COVER SEEPING)

$526.60 - REPLACE PUMP AND HEATED LINE (WASHER TANK LEAK AT HEATED HOSE)

$1,358.60 - Replace all mounts

$126.00 - Perform cooling system service

$160.00 - Replace left front lower ball joint

$916.00 - Replace right front lower ball joint

$1,401.00 - Replace crankcase rear main seal

So far I have no explanation for why some things appear twice (I plan on speaking with tomorrow about this).

What I am looking to find out is what are necessary repairs and how much should they cost?

Thanks

For that money I would get a second opinion and if it was right I would consider a trade in.
