Default S320 shocks

Hey guys,

I need to replace shocks on a 95' S320. I know the dealer is too expensive. Any tips out there where to get cheaper even if aftermarket brands. I heard some aftermarkets are better than OEM. Thanks.

If you have self leveling suspension you only have shocks in the front, you have hydraulic struts in the rear, OEM shocks are usually good for at least 100,000, struts usually dont go bad that early, the accumulators do usually go by the same mileage, I dont know about your aftermarket advice it depends what you are comparing, similar price similar performance.
The struts are at least $450 ea, accumulators $100 ea but a messy job, shocks $100ea

Thanks, I will sure look that up. The thing is when I drive the car there is a cranking noise that is very disturbing. I thought it was most likely the shocks coz this only happens when I drive over bumps.
