Hello all,
I went to my MB dealership today after putting in a refurbished vaccum pump to get it programmed. When I replaced the pump yesterday the locks, trunk, etc were working when I left the shop that installed it. The dealership said the pump was blowing fuses so the said there were leaks in the lines and it will cost about 7000$ to replace. I of course would not put that much money in my car although it is pristine with only 64000 miles. They said I could drive it of course but would not be able to lock it or open trunk with fob or button on door inside, Or use the buttons on the dash to lock. And of course the pneumatic doors do not work. Has anybody had anything this involved (7000$) with their cars. By the way my year is a 2004 S500. Thanks for your input!
