S Class Air Con
Hi All,
Can anyone help.
I have just had my S Class Air con re gassed but it still has a fault.
Is there a reset required..??
There was no pressure / gas in the system.
The fans are all working ok but I can't get the air con to come on.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

please elaborate your issue, is it after the gas is filled it goes out right away?????? Or is it the air is still not cold? which is which ? sorry really confuse with your english. Would love to help you do a self diagnosis if I would only get the direct and full detail of your problem.

apparently you need to send it to an aircon service shop, I do not think you will be able to fix it yourself, you'll also need a manifold gauge. and would you know how to take out the control module? if yes then write back and i will teach you how otherwise it would be best to let some one with experience take care of it, you might break more parts in doing so.

I have taken the car to a garage who refilled the air con.
There wasn't any gas in it at all.
After the refill there is still a fault.
The Air con button on the dash board will not switch on the air con.
All the fans are working but there is still a fault with the air conditioning system even though it has been refilled.
I was just wondering if it needed a reset or would have to go to a specialist.
Looking at your reply I think I know the answer.
once again thanks for your help.

if the gas 134A is not filled or has leak out from the system the pressure switch sensor will shut down the compressor for safety. by using a manifold gauge (with two dials) you will need to find out either your system is clog up or not, if yes you may have to have it reverse flush using nitrogen gas and if it still does not work then its time to take the system down and repair replace what ever part that may be broken. But make sure the clutch is working, check for proper current to the compressor, then check if the clutch is engaging, if not the common trouble is the clutch rubber bushing, it wears out in due time. Just make sure before you perform all these check if there is gas/freon within the system. Its healthy to go step by step to avoid unnecessary cost.
