I have a w126 81 300sd diesel. I have removed the regulator for the rear drivers window, and am now ready to re install.

there are 3 players in the procedure: 1 the window, 2 the rear channel for the window, 3 the arm from the rack that moves the window.

question: What order do they occupy from the door metal towards the interior.
is it. Glass, channel, regulator

Ok not well thought out question……..the glass has to ride in the channel so when you put the regulator in the door panel you have to make sure that the channel is towards the metal of the door. It has a stand-off to allow the regulator to function. I believe this is true.
