hello all wonderin if anyone has heard of the gearshift being stuck on park. cant seem to move it unless i jimmy it for awhile..pretty fustrating can anyone shed some light? ( on a 2003 mbz s-class)

its a common problem on w220 s-class, u need to replace your shifter assembly

thats right is it common, and it does need replacment. the release mechanism does not work or it doesnt relesase completely.

Could be the shift mech but "LOCK IN PARK" is a "SAFETY" feature that is linked with the BRAKE pedal switch.
Ensure that this switch is working correctly BEFORE spending big money on a new shift mechanism.
