hey guys, i'm a new member... i own a 1995 s320.... recently i got rearended and my bumper was cracked.... i had it in the shop and when i got it back, i noticed that the radio would come and go, like a lot of static at some times and then as you keep driving it comes back... i suspect they tampered with some wires or something while they replaced the bumper.... i also wanted to remove the radio from the center console to see if maybe theantenna cable is loose and causing the problem.... can anyone tell me if i need to remove the front console trim to remove the radio or can i insert the mercedes tools and pull it right out without removing anything extra? thanks in advance, i appreciate it.

You need to use the radio tools to get it out, no need to remove panel. I think the 95 started using an antenna in the bumper and used the power antenna for cellular only. The wire comes in thru the fender well, also think there is a splitter/combiner back there
