Default Number of Keyless Go Keys

I just purchased a 2006 S430 with the Keyless Go feature. The car came with 2 keys, only 1 of the keys is recognized when using the Keyless Go. The second key works as a standard key (starts car, remote lock/unlock, etc.). Is this how the car would have been delivered when new?

Are all remote keys capable of being programmed as Keyless Go or is there a special chip or feature associated with the Keyless Go?

Thanks for your help.

I THINK THEY CAME NEW WITH 2 KG KEYS. THERE ARE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE STANDARD KEY AND THE KG KEY. YOU CAN PULL THE BATTERY HOLDERS OUT OF THE KEYS AND SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Follow-up: Talked to a MBZ parts person today; I was told the Keyless Go feature supports up to 2 Keyless Go keys per vehicle at one time.

I happen to have a Keyless Go and standard key; guess the 2nd Keyless Go key that originally came with the vehicle was lost. The cost to purchase another Keyless Go was $300+; forgot the exact amount since I am not interested in buying a second one.
