Default Need Advice Parts/labor, S430

I am new to Mercedes, former Lexus owner. My car was in the shop on Tues. and Wed. I went down to the shop in person on Tuesday and the owner told me that they still couldnt find the problem (Stalled at thestop light 4X and had it towed)I mentioned to him that I read on a forum that it could be a crank position sensor which is typical for this vehicle. He said that they checked it and thats wasnt the problem, aslo there were 3 codes-dont know exactly. Today, he call me and said that there was a short or loose wire in that area from the prev. person that serviced the car. Just to be safe, he said he replaced the crank postion sensor @ $112.00 OEM Mercedes part, installed a new battery (Gotta see the brand/price) since it wouldnt hold the charge. He also said that he cleared over 20 codes??? Charging me $400.00 for labor. Totalbill $740.00. I need to see the price of the battery and other charges. Seems kind of high, I will see the itemized invoicewhen I pick up the car tomorrow..What is the hourly labor rate at the dealer, about $90/hr. This is an idep. German repair shop..please give feedback/advice[:@]

You would have been better off going to a MB dealership. $740 is high...

$740 is wayy to high, when i replaced the battery it costed me about $110 for the battery (from pepboys installed it myself) and around $50 for the CPS sensor. then i just paid a regular mechanic $50 to install the cps. so i paid total around 210$
