Light sensor - visit workshop :(
I was inside my light console checking for a good source to wire my new radar detector, and now have the dreaded message: LIGHT SENSOR - VISIT WORKSHOP, and my lights are on, even in daylight. I was very careful, or so I thought, all the connections look solid .......
I even put everything back to original, but message stays UNLESS ....... At evening, when it gets dark, the message goes away ..... So since the malfunction message disappears at night, I thought I would see why ....
IF the little "black sun reflector ****, that sits on back of hood, that sticks out between hood vent" is blocked by blanket or piece of electrical tape, the message goes away.
Now as to the WHY that happens, is beyond me ..... can anyone help?
Could I have blown a fuse or something silly like that or do any of you "smarter than I" have any ideas???
