Default Ignition

I have a 2001 s430. Recently when I start the car it takes two cranks to do so. Its weird... the second time it always starts. Does any one have an idea why?
Thank you

might wanna check the spark plugs and what not... might wanna have someone check the ignition, could be a bad spark or something. im not sure bout that part of NJ but if its THAT cold i guess its possible. if u have garage, is it the same in there? or in an enclosed area?

get the car scanned, since its always starting the second time, it means that something is not adjusted correctly, so it adjusts itself by your ECU and always starts the second time

get yourself a cam shaft position sensor. not a crank shaft position sensor. it is located on the front of the right cylinder head they cost about 80 bucks. is what this sensor does is temm the m.e. control unit when the motor is at tdc and the m.e. control unit will fire cylinder number one and the correct time
