Default Hello and thanks

Wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the group.
I do have a question about my 2002 s class. I started having considerable problems at acceleration with my car about a week ago. No idle problem, just when I'm in gear, at a light or stop sign, and push gas to go, I almost stall out, unless I back way off and slightly inch forward, till about 20,25 mph. Or if almost stall out, punch it and it shoots off way to fast. Any ideas? Fuel filter? Pump? Thanks again, and thanks again for the forum!! Can't wait to get involved to also help others from my 15 plus years of Mercedes ownership and situations!!

could be a lot of things, throttle position sensor/gas pedal would be my first guess. fairly common problem. i would take it to a good dealership and get their opinion
