Hey all. Just a quick question. It may be a dumb question. But the company that makes all those manuals Haynes. Doesn't seem to have a manual for the 126 body style. There is manual for the 123 but I am not seeing one for the 126. Anyone have a clue why? Is there another good manual out there?

 

paper back manuals were "beneath" the great W126. You'll be hard press to find one outside a dealership and oen that wont cost you two legs an arm and a kidney. But there are repair discs for the W126 floating around. It's like the Haynes manual, except a bit more in depth and digital. I have a set hanging aroudn here somewhere myself. It covers all W126 from 1981-1991 american models with some mentions of the euro models. It tells you just about everything except why the smartest guys in the MBZ engineer office couldnt come up with a simpler HVAC system. You can fidn them on Ebay and sometimes on Mercedes part outlet websites. Make sure you get the one made for the W126 because you mess around and dont specify they;ll send you the one for the W123 or W124

I picked up my CD set on Fleebay years ago, but after working on north american cars for years it was a learning curve to figure out the "lingo", but it has been very helpful. I also use Mitchell on Demand.
