Extended Warranty for 2000 S430
Hello..I saw an ad on yahoo last night and emailed the company who was offering the extended warranty. Well they said that they would would offer an extended warranty that would cover just about everything similar to the factory warranty. The provider of this warranty is Great American Insurance and supposedly they have been in business since 1830. Anyways, my car has 83,400 miles on it and they offered a 36 month 36000 mile warranty for $3809. There is a 30 days or 1000 miles whichover comes later period before the warranty goes into full effect. Is that a pretty good deal? They told me that I had to take the offer before the call ended else they would not be able to offer me the price point and that I would have 30 days to cancel should I not feel comfortable. Please advise..Thanks for your help.
i dont know how much car warranty cost, but i think 3800 for 36,000 miles is too much.
i have a 2000 s-class with 125000 miles on it, and i had a couple of problem with it along the way but the most i spent on any repair was about a $350 to repair for oil leaks.
if you know a good mechanic outsied the dealership it would NOT be worth it to get the warranty. (in my opinion)
