Just bought my S430 2000, only 25.000 mileage, CA car 1 owner.. For some reason all 4 controls buttons on the steering wheel are sticky and rubbed out. I went to dealer and they want around $240.00 for all of them. Any other place anyone knows to find and buy them cheaper? Also, any good online stores for that kind of stuff. Thank you.

 

mine are the same way, but i never found a place to get them from.

 

mine were the same...i used rubbing alchohol with a piece of cotton and gently scrubbed off the sticky portion (have no clue what that stupid german compound was they decided to put on them!) If you rub too hard, you'll take the color off. Do it softly on each one for about 5 min and you should be left with a hard surface button without the stick crud on it.

 

Sorry..I meant NAIL POLISH remover, not Rubbing alc.
