Default A/C Problems

I have a 1996 S320. The e/c button on the climate control unit is illuminated. I cannot get it to turn off. I assume that for the A/C to run, the e/c mode needs to be turned off. Any advice on what to do? Has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the direction. There is little, or no, pressure in the A/C system. Can I charge this myself or are there "special" tools the MB uses? I have the tools to recharge my chevy truck. Will these work?

Default RE: A/C Problems

I have a 1998 S320 and appear to have similar problem. The control unit goes on when ignition is on, and all lights and indicators appear to be working. I can even change the temp and fan speed settings. The only problem is that the fan/blower is not working at all. I checked the fuse in the boot, and that seems to be good. Is there another fuse (for the blower) somewhere else? Can anyone offer any advise?

Thanks.
