Angry Blower motor not blowing ANY air

i have a 2001 s430...

my blower / fan has alway delayed but now it completely does not blow any air whether heat ac auto manual nothing. here is what ive checked so far.

took out blower motor and regulator. applied voltage to blower motor and works fine.

also applied voltage directly to regulator hot/ground and blower motor worked fine.

checked all fuses.

dio'd error codes and found kla 1269v and kla 1269a which is multi function sensor miscommunication with CAN. replaced sensor, clr'd codes. sensor is working now and no error codes.

also pulled harness that plugs into regulator and used voltmeter to test for voltage from climate control unit to blower regulator while car was on and nothing. So I believe the climate control isn't sending power to the blower motor/regulator. WHY?

when i check the values in the climate control it shows voltage being applied to blower but when i test with voltmeter i get nothing.

display shows fan on but no air is blowing.

any suggestions?

ps i attached leads directly from the battery to the hot/ground terminals on the regulator and the blower motor ran fine. it seems to me that the climate control module n22 just won't send a signal to the motor (no voltage). when voltage is applie to the motor it blows fine. I did have a bad multi function sensor (wasn't sensing co2 or no just dew temp) and i replaced that and reset codes. now i have no error codes, normal values, but still no blower blowing???

On a 2001 s430, your diagnosis sounds correct.

Have a great day.

FYI...My car was under warranty for front end work (control arm/ball joint replaced) and I had them look at blower. It was the blower regulator. They replaced it (not covered under my warranty) and I now have air blowing again.

Where is the multi function sensor located on a 2003 s430. I have a B1269 error code and recently have had intermittent blower and regulator shutdowns along with ac/off light illuminated, shutting down the de-humidifier and fogging the windows. Thanks.

Last week I heard an awful grinding noise that sounded like it was just behind the firewall. Now I have no air - hot or cold blowing. Luckily I can put the top down but when it rains...
