Default 94 S 320 ASR light

Hi, just did the head gasket and timing chain. Put the car back together and had to change the main wire harness for the spark plugs and injectors as well. When i start the car it runs a little sluggish. The ASR light came on and when i hit the gas its like a delayed reaction. I hit the gas and the car doesnt respond. The rpms move up very slowly if at all. Also it makes a clicking noise but the oil pressure is good. Any suggestions?????

Default RE: 94 S 320 ASR light

most 140 body are manufactured with a defective or substandard wiring harness and once the insulation of the elctronic actuator wiring harness deteriorate, it will cause short circuit and subsiquently destroy your EGAS control module. Repair proceedure, check and make sure your ETA wiring harness are ok then use a hand held tester to check , if it indicates N4/1 then your EGAS control module are out of order. I've been thru a lot of this problem in the past and found one solution, change the wiring harness of the throttle actuator and make sure the potentiometer is still ok then try to start and see if the ASR lights do come back, the reason why you are running sluggish during the ASR light, its because the ECU is teling the transmission to go on limp home mode and there is no way you can go fast,
