I just got an 87 500S. Runs pretty good but I found out last night that when I turn the headlights on, the engine dies. I am hoping for an easy solution becuase even though the person I bought it from will probably fix it, his shop is very inconvenient to get to. Thanks

 

alternator could be kicking the bucket.
