2006 S-500 - Yes or No?
Hi. Are there any known issue with this car to be concerned about?
It has 51,000 miles, is owned by a local doctor, AND is just like new.
- Are there any issues or things to take a close look at with this car?
- What is the scheduled maintenance like with these?
- When is the next one, and is it an expensive one?
- What should I be looking at paying for this car?
He's looking at buying a 2010 model.
I'm considering this car (and selling my 2008 Avalon).
I'm a on the road salesman, and I'm looking for something that is comfortable, quiet and pleasant to drive and for my passengers.
I typically put on 1500 to 3,000 miles on my trips, and put on about 35,000 miles a year.
The Avalon is nice, but not as comfortable as I'd like, not as quiet as I'd like (at highway speeds).

I hope there are no issues, and it's a good car, because I just bought an 06 S500 this week! The one I bought has 36K miles, the AMG sport package, heated seats, heated steering wheel, Nav, and Sat. Radio. The dealer just did a complete brake job (pads, fluids and rotors - $1400 Value), they threw in an extra set of floor mats (I like to have a summer and winter set) I paid $31K.
