Default 2002 S600 Trunk only goes half way up?

I have a 2002 S600, i recently changed the battery and in doing so took out the pump that controls the trunk. I put everything back and the trunk only goes up about half way when pressed. Is there a way to recalibrate this or fix this without taking it to mercedes? thanks, this is my first post , so hopefully you guys can help me out. Thanks

My car was just in for diagnostic (the alternator went) should they have normalized it during this process, or is it additional?

normally when a tech works on the car and the power gets disconnected the tech Should normalize all components of the car, seats, windows, roof ,trunk, steering wheel. sometimes the trunk lid will get overlooked by mistake cause not all cars have that trunk lid feature.
