Just to inform. By helping you with your S500 rear brake pad quest, I today have ordered a fullset of front and rear, all pads, for my car, from the reference I gave of Brake Planet.com, with a total including shipping of $64. Will let all know how this order turns out.
Helping others may just also helpme also. I like this forum a lot.
thanks

Hi Bill,
Very interested to hear the outcome of your ceramic pad trial.
I predict noise and other problems but IF they do turn out to reduce the dust WITHOUT adverse impact that will be worth knowing. My SLK is the worst for dust!
Other than the dust issue I have found MB brakes to be incredibly robust and in fact have never come across a car with problems that has OE equipment fitted.
Did you fit new rotors or just the pads?
In anticipation.
Stuart.
