Hey yes, have 95 S320. Had the same exact loud sqeak. Was very loud when driving over bumps or rough road. Thought it was shocks but after diagnostics it was upper control arm on the front driver side. Replaced it for about 350 bucks. Never had any sqeak again, drives like a mercedes supposed to.

When my mazda front suspension was squeaking over bumps it was the upper Mazda control arm, which has the upper ball joint permanently attached to it. The lower ball joint also has a habit of squeaking. And yes, it's annoying as hell! It's relatively safe to drive, but you should fix it at some point soon because the ball joints can break. When they do, you're in for a nasty surprise. And you're not driving anywhere at that point. I just replaced my upper control arm and lower ball joint and the problem went away. The ball joint was cheap, like $15 or something, but the upper control arm was around $125-$150.You should get an alignment after replacing the upper control arm. The lower ball joint requires a press or special tool to remove it. I borrowed one from Autozone. Good luck!!!

nothing about the replacement of the mercedes benz ball joint should effect the vehicle’s alignment so once you have completed all the steps and replaced the tire you are ready to go! check with your particular vehicle’s manual regarding the torque of the bolts but most will recommend around 44 ft-lbs. for the upper screws and 80 ft-lbs. on the other bolts. once you have properly torqued the bolts, you are ready to roll.
