Hi,

Both the rear doors on my dad's 1995 S500 won't open from inside or out. The doors both went at the same time. We have tried locking and unlocking the car, checked all the fuses (bonnet and boot all fine), the manual locks inside the car still go up and down when locked and unlocked.
We thought about the child safety locks but why would both doors fail at the same time.
The soft close mechanism was a little dodgy on drivers side rear door before this problem.

This usually isn't a problem but the car is required for a wedding this summer so olbviously it would be a bit of a problem for the bride to climb into the back seats from the front.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

 

strange just chek the air pressure and the center lock

 

Hi, did you get your rear doors open? I just bought one of these and it has exactly the same problem. Neither of the rear doors will open from inside or out.

 

have a 95 mercedes s500 driver side rear door will not open you can hear the locks inside the door working but will not open ive tried everything

 

i hear them moving inside door not sure if they are working
