Wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem:

I got a 1989 MB 560SEL about 150,000miles. I was driving home, suddenly the car stalled in the middle of the traffic. When tried to restart the call (in both park and neutral), the engine turns over, but failed to start again. The instrument cluster has no power: all the instrument needle remained flat when the key turned. The fuel tank is half, and jumping the battery didn't help.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do next?

 

can you hear the fuel pump running?could be the fuel pump relay.it should be at the bulkhead under the bonnet.try bridge no.87 and no.30 pin.
