ive found these superchargers online for 99-03 mercedes for around 200-400$, i was considering building a very inexpensive kit for my I-6 just to see how much it would do as this car really rips with the high rpms but could use a little boost in the lo range. I dont care weather or not the engine can take it as i only wanna give it like 5 or so lbs but what i do want to know is where i can gen information on the workings of the mfi and any info on how i could fab th superchanger ontop of the intake manifold where the air filter currently is, i want to spend around 500 on parts and maybe ill find so cheap top mount intercooler but i really do not care about having one becasue of the obvious jump in cost for this little project. Any links and help would be much appreciated and I would love to talk with anyone that has done something like this, oh and as far as exhaust i plan strait pipes to mufflers, no bs inbetween

It's not a supercharger if it costs $200-$400. It's probably a blow dryer motor in a plastic case. In other words, a con. Don't waste your money. Expect to pay about $4K+ for a real one.
