2006 R500 Climate Control Issue
My 2006 R500 came up with a weird problem today.
The Passenger side temperature dial will only RAISE the temperature.
When trying to turn it down, it illuminates the next lower LED when you start to move the dial, but as soon as it clicks a full click, it goes back up.
To turn temperature down, I had to do the following trick:
Turn down one notch, between clicks, not a full click. Next lower LED illuminates.
Select OFF
Move to the next click.
Turn back on and it shows one setting lower.
Move another half-click
Turn OFF again
and so forth until I get the temperature down where I want it.
Is this another Mercedes crap control unit?
I had enough troubles with my E320.
My ML320 had simple *****...I liked that.
I wish this was as simple as my old 1964 230SL...Sliders connected to valves with cables!!!
