Default Side View Mirrors - ML500

Hello Everyone,

I'm so happy that I found this group. I purchased a 2002 ML500 - and have a major problem with the side view mirrors.
I have a narrow garage, and my windows missed the sides by an inch (that's what it seems like). No more late night partying and pulling my car into the garage. Also, due to the recent vandalism in my neighboorhood (a nice quiet mid-income area), I won't park my car on the streets.

So, here's my first question.

As the mirrors do not FOLD in - which is a crime considering this car is a 2002 model. Does anyone know if I can replace the mirrors with fold in or smaller mirrors? And if so, what is the cost?

Regarding my login. I sold my BMW M3 of 10 years. I'm looking forward to the same type of quality and performance as my BMW (of course my first Mercedes is an SUV - sedan.. but the quality should be similar).

Appreciate your thoughts!

Love

Default RE: Side View Mirrors - ML500

Hi there,

welcome to the forum (even though I am quite new on here like you). Just wanted to say that all European MLs no matter what engine size they are equipped with have the electric folding side mirrors as standard equipment. What I suggest is that you try to buy on ebay.co.uk or .fr or .it a couple of the electric mirrors (some one have ads like Breaking down ML) and then you can try to have the electric wiring done by your local dealer or by yourself.

Hope this helps

Francesco
